Rubin is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Cary Street Partners, where he oversees the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio management, and client-focused financial solutions. With over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Matthew brings valuable experience in both public and private markets, delivering innovative and comprehensive investment solutions tailored to client needs.
Before joining Cary Street Partners, Matthew was the Founding and Managing Partner at AnchorCove Partners and a Founding Partner and CIO at Matrix Private Capital Group, where he developed strategies with a strong emphasis on private market investments. Earlier in his career, he served as Managing Director and CIO of the Neuberger Berman Trust Company N.A., where he also chaired the Global Asset Allocation Committee, leading the development of multi-asset class allocation strategies for institutional and individual clients. Matthew also held leadership roles at U.S. Trust Company and a single-family office, where he honed his skills in managing complex portfolios and crafting personalized investment strategies. He began his career at Morgan Stanley.
Matthew graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University.
