Cary Street Partners Opens New Charlotte Office

New Wealth Management office to be led by Rutherford Bryson, III and Mark Ryan

RICHMOND, VA (April 7, 2011) – Cary Street Partners is pleased to announce the opening of a new Wealth Management office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, Cary Street Partners is a leading, regional wealth management and investment banking firm. The expansion into the Charlotte market brings the total number of offices located throughout the Southeast region to seven.

In connection with the establishment of this office, Rutherford “Rusty” Bryson, III, CPA/PFS, CFP® has joined the firm as a Financial Advisor and Managing Director. Bryson was previously a Family Wealth Advisor with GenSpring Family Offices where he advised his clients on tax and estate planning, family financial planning and philanthropic consulting.

Mark Ryan, CFP®, who joined Cary Street Partners in November of 2010 as a Financial Advisor and Managing Director, will now co-head the new office with Bryson. Before joining Cary Street Partners, Ryan was a Director at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown where he provided investment management and financial planning services to his clients.

Tracy Hanger has also joined the Charlotte office as a Financial Associate. She was formerly the Family Services Coordinator with GenSpring Family Offices and has over 10 years of experience in trust administration, estate settlement and wealth and investment management.
