Nancy R. Oliver

Nancy R. Oliver serves as Head of Legal Affairs for Cary Street Partners, where she leads the legal strategy and execution supporting the firm’s growth through acquisitions and strategic transactions. Nancy plays an integral role in the firm’s transition and integration process, namely coordinating legal counsel, the drafting transaction documents, establishing legal timelines and deliverables, and overseeing the organization and execution of closing documentation. Beyond transactions, she serves as the operational backbone of the firm’s legal function, owning the systems, workflows, vendor relationships, and cross-functional programs that allow the organization to manage legal risk and move with agility.

Nancy has been a core member of the team driving the firm’s acquisition growth, with her work spanning the full transaction lifecycle, from NDA execution and legal due diligence through compliance setup, repapering strategy, and client transition, ensuring each acquisition closes smoothly and in full regulatory alignment.

Since joining the firm in 2021, Nancy has held progressive roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as Chief Compliance Officer for the firm’s Investment Adviser entities. Her deep familiarity with SEC regulatory frameworks and investment advisory operations gives her a distinct advantage in navigating the compliance and legal dimensions of complex financial services transactions.
