Doug Stewart Makes Barron’s National List of Top Advisors
Doug Stewart has again made the annual Barron’s list of America’s top 1,000 financial advisors. Stewart, a Managing Director with Cary Street Partners in Fredericksburg, placed sixth on the Barron’s list for Virginia. He ranked ninth in Virginia on the Barron’s list in 2010 and seventh last year. Barron’s ranks advisors on factors including assets managed, revenue produced and quality of practice. Stewart oversees about $700 million in assets, according to the Barron’s list. The “typical account” of his clients is $4 million, and “typical net worth” is $7 million.
Stewart’s firm, which is located near Mary Washington Hospital, was known as Stewart Wealth Management Group before merging with Cary Street Partners in June 2007. The Blacksburg native and Virginia Tech graduate has been actively involved in the community, particularly with Fredericksburg Academy, George Washington’s Fredericksburg Foundation, the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region, the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation and St. George’s Episcopal Church.
