Charles Hurt Named Cary Street Partners’ Managing Director
Hurt to lead Atlanta office’s investment banking practice and Retail, Restaurant & Consumer Products industry practice group
RICHMOND, VA (March 30, 2010) – Cary Street Partners, a Richmond, Virginia-based investment banking and wealth management firm, announced today that Charles D. Hurt III has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a Managing Director. Mr. Hurt will head the firm’s Retail, Restaurant & Consumer Products industry practice group and will lead the Atlanta investment banking practice.

Before joining Cary Street Partners LLC, Mr. Hurt served as President of CDH Advisors, where he provided strategic and financial advice to consumer products, retailer, restaurant and food & beverage companies. He previously served as a Director in the Investment Banking group at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, LLC and its successor, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he specialized in providing corporate clients in the consumer sector with merger and acquisition, capital raising and financial advisory services.
Mr. Hurt holds a bachelors degree in politics and economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he received the Alex Brown and Sons Fellowship and highest honors.
